General Job Description
|
| |
Business and systems analysis work at a professional level for a department or agency of VT state government. Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users. Interviews stakeholders and gathers and compiles user requirements to understand the business's needs. Proactively works with all elements of the organization to look for new ways and opportunities to optimize business processes. Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to define current processes and develop recommendations for improvement. Plays a pivotal role in ensuring stakeholder understanding of business requirements and their instantiation in project documentation, contractual documents, project plans, and other artifacts. Work is expected to be performed with little or no direct supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Six (6) years or more of Business Analysis experience at a professional level.
Preferred:
CCBA/CBAP certification.
Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related subject.
