The Vermont Department of Public Safety is looking for a Program/Project Manager to provide a leadership role in the conceptualization and implementation of a high-speed wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety in the state of Vermont.  This project is part of a nationwide initiative under the direction of FirstNet – The First Responder Network Authority.  FirstNet has been obligated by Congress to take all actions necessary to ensure the building, deployment and operation of a nationwide public safety broadband network.  This is a high-level, highly visible position that will interface with key public safety stakeholders statewide.  This is an opportunity to participate in the leadership of a nationally sponsored project, implementing state-of-the-art technology in support of a critical need for the state.  The successful candidate will have demonstrable interpersonal communication skills, collaboration and facilitation skills, as well as a successful history of acting in a project leadership role, Accomplishments working in a team environment, and communicating effectively at all stakeholder levels is also a requirement.
